Review of "One Day" (BR 21)

Moreland Road is a street in the city of Bath, England. (Introduction)    It was just a normal Friday evening in Moreland Road. Jason's mother was calling him, but he was listening to music. Nina had some news but wasn't sure how to tell her husband about it. Maggie had a smile on her face as she thought about her holiday in Chile. Sam looked a bit worried - but then Sam always looked worried.    Some people or families who live in Moreland Road had problems such as about interpersonal relationships, money, jobs and so on.    Sometimes the problems had difficult situations. People felt that they could  solve the problems.    Then, after a long time, some of the problems were solved, and others weren't solved.    I thought that the last of the story was so shocking, but interesting, too. 'You've done an excellent job,' (p. 41)    Ian Munro, a British spy, flies to New Zealand. As he drives from the airport there is a problem: a car is following him.    'He thought as he drove. He needed to get away. But he also wanted answers to some questions. Who was in the car? Who were they working for? And how had they found him so soon?'    Actually, the person who Munro met was the opponent against Munro. The opponent was Cochrane. He told his men the place which Munro was. He knew the place by cahsing the radio wave of Munro's mobile phone.    Munro was in danger of being killed Cochrane's men so many times, but he could get over the difficult situations.    And finally, Munro and his boss Naylor could get evidence to catch Cochrane and his men. Munro was in danger of being killed here too, but he could be alive. And he was on holiday now.    I thought that this story was so thrilling, and the development of the story was so fast. So, it was

So, the man decided to look for people who help them. He was walking slowly in the desert. He was not wearing a shirt. The sun is on his back, which was burnt red. He couldn't see, he couldn't think. He doesn't know where he is or who he is. He only knows that he must keep moving, keep putting one foot in front of the other. Keep moving, or die.    Suddenly, he became unconscious and feel down to the ground. After a while, local people found him and took him to the hospital in the capital ciry.    After some days, he opened eyes. At the beginnig, he could remember nothing. He was 'the man from nowhere.' All boroughs have many spots to visit. I want all my family to come to the concert - my husband, my new brother, and their father. (p. 38)    In a house in Oxford three people are having breakfast - Carol, her husband Jan, and his father Josef. They are talking about Prague, because Carol wants them all to go there for Christmas.    Josef was born in Prague, but he left his home city when he was a young man. He is an old man now, and he would like to see Pregue again before he dies. But he is afraid. He still remembers another Christmas in Prague, many long years ago - a Christmas that changed his life for ever...    Josef and her wife Lenka tried to get out of their home country, Czechoslovakia. Then, Lenka was shot by guard of border. Then, Jan's twin brother Pavel was on her back.    Jan and Pavel haven't met for a very long time. And now, they could met at last.    I thought that this story was so interesting and touching. Hannam, Joyce. (1997). Christmas in Prague. Oxford: Oxford University Press.
