Review of "The Trumpet-Major" (BR 3)

And one day, a Spanish soldier made him silent for ever. (p. 63)

1804 - the south of England. Britain and France are at war. The people of the south of England are frightened. Will the French army cross the English Channel?

John Loveday is a soldier in the British army. He is a trumpet-major. His brother, Robert, is a sailor. They both love Anne Garland. But a third man, Festus Derriman loves Anne too. Anne doesn't like Festus. But, he tried to marry her.
Anne likes both of John and Robert Loveday. She can't choose two of them. Sometimes one of them make Anne angry. But sometimes one of them make Anne happy.
John is a good man, but Anne can't love John. She loves Robert. But one day, Robert go out of the house to join the fight against Spanish and French navy.

   Who will Anne marry?
I thought that the story is intereating.
