Review of "The Truth Machine" (BR 4)

'What is the truth?' (p. 29)

   'Why did you make the Truth Machine?' asked the reporter. 'I love truth,' said Professor Varity, 'and I hate lies.' 'But how does the truth machine work?' asked the reporter. The Professor laughed. 'That's a secret.'

   Professor Varity intented The Truth Machine. By using the machine, a person make another person say true things. The professor phoned the newspaper office and call a reporter.
   A reporter came and ask the professor some questions about the machine. And, the professor answered.
   The news about the machine spreaded around the world, and the professor was known by a lot of people. Some of them sent the professor moeny.
   And, he invited some first clients of the machine.
   After the test of the machine, the cients know the truth. One lost the job. And one didn't know what to do.
   All of the clients didn't be happy. The Truth Machine didn't give them happiness.
   I thought that truth isn't always good thing.

Review of "Jack and the Westbourne Fair"

The Westbourne Fair is coming to town and it is Jack's favourite moment of the year. But when he gets into trouble at school his parents say that he can't go to the fair. Jack decides to go to the fair anyway and he learns that there are more important things in life than having fun. I read "Jack and the Westbourne Fair." This book was written by Martyn Hobbs. Review of "Circle Games" (BR 8)

'Turn like a wheel,' he laughed while he danced with the children. (p. 11)    This book is consisted of five stories. So, I'd like to review one of the stories.    The title of the story is 'Quick Man Tan.' Caleb Tan was a great Chinese dancer and could move like fighters in kung fu films long time ago.    His family, he and his wife and son, has a cafe. His son was a good cook, and cooked all meal of the cafe. And, his wife carried the meal to people came to the cafe. But, Tan didn't work at all.    All he did was telling people his old stories. His family wanted him to work.    But one day, a robber came in to the cafe. He had robbed some things at other places. All people were afraid of the robber, but Tan moved like fighters in kung fu  films and the robber was on the floor. He helped to catch the robber! Review of "The Dark Side of the City" (BR 9)

"Police! Stop or wee shoot! Now, Joe!" (p. 43)    The name of the main character is Nat Marley. He has been a private investigator in New York for over ten years. Before that, he was in the police.    While I was working in my office on East 43rd Street I got a phone call. "I want to talk with you about a family problem," the caller, Curtis began.    His brother-in-law, Ellis changed terribly. He's just not the same man. Ellis has his own pet shop. He sells customers from birds to snakes.    In fact, Dionne, Curtis's sister and Ellis's wife, has a terrible disease and has to go to the hospital. Ellis saved money for her, but he couldn't save enough money to go to the hospital. So, he sells his customers snakes that isn't allowed to bring to the country. And then, he was threatened by one of the curtomers who bought the illegal snake, and had to sell cocaine.    Nat helped them so smartly. Ellis and Dionne could have a usual, safe life. C
