Review of "Different Worlds" (BR 11)

It was wonderful. As wonderful as my small hand on the front of Mum's guitar. (p. 44, 45)

'In my world there are no birds singing. There are no noisy men working on the roads. No people leaving bars late at night shouting at each other. No babies crying.'
Sam is like any other teenage girl except that she was born deaf. Now she is in love with Jim, but are their worlds too different?
Sam is a deaf girl. She communicates with her mother with sign language. When she communicates with other people, she uses lip-reading.
She has the best friend, Ron who can use sign language. Sam can have a good time when she talks with him. One day, Sam fell in love with Ron's acquaintance, Jim. She could meet Jim thanks to Ron's help.
Sam and Jim love each other. But one day, Jim's preveous girlfriend, Lauren told Sam to keep away from Jim.
But Jim chose Sam. He taught how to play drums because he plays it in a band. Now, Sam and Jim are girlfriend and boyfriend.
I felt happy after knowing the ending.
