Review of "The Double Bass Mystery" (BR 12)

   Penny Wade is a musician. She is enjoying her first visit to Barcelona with her orchestra. But first her double bass is lost, and then someone with her orchestra dies. The police want to know what happened, and Penny's life changes as she also slowly learns the truth.
   Simon Hunt is one of the members of the same orchestra as Penny. And he is the boy friend of Penny. He is not a good person, but she loves him.
   In fact, the missing of Penny's double bass was work of Simon. He was asked to steal a painting that is worth about two million pounds from the Tate Gallery in London. Then, he put the painting in Penny's double bass case. So, the people who took the painting carried the double bass case with Penny's double bass.
   And Simon killed the person who encountered the deal between Simon and the client.
   Simon will stay in prison for a long time. The relationship between Penny and Simon hed finished. Penny will start a new life.
   There is surprising development of the story, so the story was interesting.

Review of "Circle Games" (BR 8)

'Turn like a wheel,' he laughed while he danced with the children. (p. 11)    This book is consisted of five stories. So, I'd like to review one of the stories.    The title of the story is 'Quick Man Tan.' Caleb Tan was a great Chinese dancer and could move like fighters in kung fu films long time ago.    His family, he and his wife and son, has a cafe. His son was a good cook, and cooked all meal of the cafe. And, his wife carried the meal to people came to the cafe. But, Tan didn't work at all.    All he did was telling people his old stories. His family wanted him to work.    But one day, a robber came in to the cafe. He had robbed some things at other places. All people were afraid of the robber, but Tan moved like fighters in kung fu  films and the robber was on the floor. He helped to catch the robber! Review of "The Dark Side of the City" (BR 9)

"Police! Stop or wee shoot! Now, Joe!" (p. 43)    The name of the main character is Nat Marley. He has been a private investigator in New York for over ten years. Before that, he was in the police.    While I was working in my office on East 43rd Street I got a phone call. "I want to talk with you about a family problem," the caller, Curtis began.    His brother-in-law, Ellis changed terribly. He's just not the same man. Ellis has his own pet shop. He sells customers from birds to snakes.    In fact, Dionne, Curtis's sister and Ellis's wife, has a terrible disease and has to go to the hospital. Ellis saved money for her, but he couldn't save enough money to go to the hospital. So, he sells his customers snakes that isn't allowed to bring to the country. And then, he was threatened by one of the curtomers who bought the illegal snake, and had to sell cocaine.    Nat helped them so smartly. Ellis and Dionne could have a usual, safe life. C
